Kevazingo Waterfall Bubinga

Wood Type: Type 4

Museum Grade

Price: $579

About

The strawberry blonde. A customer favorite and easy recommendation to make for the Type 4 listener. Also known as African Rosewood, Bubinga is stunningly beautiful with outrageous color and wild swirling grain. Bubinga features deep auburn ribbon bands that curl and clash with strands of gold, orange, pink and magenta. Thanks to some nice 3D figuring, you can really see into the shifting heart of this wood. So luxurious and rich looking, and a stupendous ToneWood to boot, our African Bubinga has it all.

We were very lucky to obtain a very special old piece of Waterfall Bubinga, a block we only half-jokingly refer to as the “God Board”. The most amazing, penetrating and perfect Waterfall Bubinga we’ve seen, they call it “Kevazingo” after the region of Africa where this special tree was harvested. Jewel-like figure, rarest aged wood. Only 5 pair can be made.
