The Test Bed

How do we verify our mods, cables and cups? With some of the best equipment on the market today. This stack is a sonic microscope. If something is amiss, it will alert us immediately.

The source is a heavily modified Marantz SA-7S1 CD/SACD player. $5K of mods on a $5K player.

The amp is the Rudistor RP010B, a pure Class-A solid-state amp with both SE and balanced outputs, from the wonderful Dr. Rudi Stor of Italy. A true artisan.

Cables are primarily Virtual Dynamics Master LE, absurdly big fat copper pipes. We love pure copper cables here at Lawton Audio! VD makes some of the ultimate copper cables– huge gauge, totally inflexible and impractical, but oh, the sound!

All sat atop a PS Audio Power Plant Premier for the purest power supply available to man.
